Y’all…

She is actually Merlin’s baby.
(I mean, not really. But don’t tell him. Because he sure does love his Weird Hairless Cat so much.)
Been a while, and I hope to get back to writing in the very near future, but for now, I hope you enjoy this sweet little success as much as I did:

Yep, that’s right. Sweet Lucy Blue-Eyes has started solid foods, and she loves everything so far. It’s a whole new adventure, y’all. And so far, it’s pretty fun.
Milk drunk, y’all.

It’s a thing.
Merlin sure does love his new weird hairless cat best friend.

I don’t have the heart to tell him she won’t always be smaller than he is, but hey, he’ll find out soon enough anyway.

I just can’t get enough of them.
He’s good.

See? All good. Cat’s, y’all. He actually seems to really like Lucy, and I think they’ll be great friends.
As for Annie, she has so far steadfastly refused to acknowledge that anything has changed. Which, I guess, could be worse? She seems just as lazy and content as ever, at any rate. Dogs, too, y’all.
I know I said I’d have October’s short story out today, and I’m working on it. It’ll be out on Friday instead, and I think you’ll like it. It’s a little different from my usual stuff.
For now, there’s this:

This is the bench in our new shower. It’s also Merlin’s new favorite spot. Merlin doesn’t like to get wet. Eventually, these two things will be in conflict with each other.
But not today, so I suppose he can have it for the moment. Silly cat.
…and I can’t wait.

We did a maternity photoshoot a couple of weeks ago, and I’m so happy to have some wonderful pictures of this time in our lives. Such precious memories, and one day, we’ll be able to share these with Baby Girl.
(Credit to Jessica Simpson Photography. She did such a good job working with us and capturing all of our goofy faces.)
…you don’t really own anything. The cat does. Immediately. And without question. So, I’m not surprised.

My pregnancy pillow? No, that’s Merlin’s pillow. And he’s quite happy with it, thank you very much.
(Not the best picture, but I just had to share. Cats, y’all. Cats…)
