It’s been raining on and off today, and it’s nice and cool outside, and the sky is pink and purple, and the trees are starting to turn gold, and I just really think September in Virginia might be one of my very favorite things in the entire world.

Sounds so awesome! I remember autumn as a kid, the atmosphere just seemed so clean and clear. You could see every star in the sky at night. The Milky Way was amazing.
It doesn’t do that anymore… it doesn’t really get cold until January.

This time many moons ago, the sky would sometimes look purple and the full moon would be orange coming up. I thought the sky was preparing for Halloween.

Rain has a way of making you notice things you normally wouldn’t, I think. It makes the trees a little greener, the sun a little brighter. Everything just feels a little more colorful after a good rain.
