I fear it might be a bit ambitious, but this year, I aspire to read two books every week – one fiction and one non-fiction. I’m off to a great start, I think, in that I’ve read ten books already, but I know it’s going to be a challenge to keep up the pace, and y’all, I’m going to need your help. Send me your favorites!
And, in case you’re looking for something good to read, I highly recommend:
Jade Fire Gold by June C.L. Tan

Or, if you’re looking for something a little different, this one’s next up for me:
The Heroine with 1001 Faces by Maria Tatar

I’ve said I think 2022 is going to be a good year for stories, and that includes reading them, as well as writing them. I can’t wait to see what ends up on my reading list this year!
10 books in 20 days, that’s great. If you like Stephen King I’d like to add “If It Bleeds” thats an awesome collection. Nice to meet you, Katie. ~ Jay

I do like Stephen King, so I’ll check it out! Nice to meet you, too, and thanks for following. 🙂

My friend gifted me with a new book: Nikole Hannah-Jones’ The 1619 Project. It is not a book that will be easily read in 1 week. I am deeply engrossed in it, and to say it is hard to put down is an understatement of giant proportions.

I’m definitely adding that one to my list!

Thank you! Now I’ve put it out there, I’m beginning to think I’m crazy. It’ll be a lot of reading, but I think it’ll be worth it.

For fiction, I would suggest “Forty Rules of Love” by Elif Shafak. Great and immersive read. I am slow reader, can’t even think about finishing so many books in 20days. Do you do speed reading?

Added to the list! I’ve always been a fast reader, which is something of a blessing and a curse. I can finish books quickly, but always wish they would last just a little longer. Sometimes I intentionally take a long break so I can have just a little more time with a story or a character.

That’s awesome. I do that too with some characters I like a lot. Feels good to have them linger around in my mind.

Hi Katie, That is an awesome goal! I can barely get through 1 audio book a week with a 30 minute commute to work. Or maybe I should restate that to say I can barely get through, and remember anything about, that 1 audio book. Good luck and I look forward to hearing more reviews.

Thanks! I’m excited, but also feeling like I may have set the bar too high. We’ll see! So many good books in the world…
