Well, not too far. My mom lives about six hours away…

…and Graham’s mom lives about four.

Today, though, I wish we lived closer to both of them. Graham and I are lucky to have them, and I’d love to celebrate with them in person, but that just wasn’t in the cards this year. So, a blog post in their honor will have to do.
They are beautiful, smart, kind, wise, and so very wonderful. Today and every day, we love them both so much.
(Oh, and for supper? Leftover red beans and rice. It’s been a long week, y’all.)
Take out pizza here, and I am happy for it! Your mothers are both beautiful, and kudos to them for raising you and Graham to be kind and talented and steadfast. Here’s to all the mothers who did the best they knew how.

I am sorry to hear you weren’t able to see your mom or Grandma on Mother’s Day! My mom lives far away but we always try to set up a long web chat appointment with Mom beforehand over Skype where we can spend the time chatting, venting, catching up and planning a particular activity to do “together.” Thanks for sharing and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

I love that! We were able to speak with them on the phone, and sent cards, as well. We’ll have to do a Skype or Zoom call next year!

I’m lucky to have both of them in my life. 🙂 And Graham is, too, of course.
